This is the one class everyone should do, from those who haven’t really being active for a while to advanced aerialists. It’s Pilates – in the air!  This class will enable you to move your body in all the right (self-care) ways and leave you with a warm comforted inner glow that comes from being supported in your own cocoon. An intense yet gentle workout, starting grounded to the floor, and using the principles of Pilates to take flight into a luxurious aerial hammock.

 

Improve your muscle tone and condition, build strength, increase your mobility and improve flexibility. All while being suspended in the hammock, for that feeling of freedom, and security, at your pace and a level appropriate to your body.

 

Safe for and adapted to all levels – truly something for everyone; from absolute beginner to advanced movers – a transformational class with space to learn, grow and develop no matter what your starting point!

About Sophie:

Sophie has been sharing her passion for movement, improving our relationship with our bodies for several years, in various guises. A dancer taken flight; an accomplished performing aerialist and aerial coach.

 

Sophie realises the demands we place on our bodies as modern day humans, let alone the additional expectations we have as dancers, aerialists, yoga practitioners, whatever our level, are vast, and there is little time for nurture, as we swing between the sedentary and the busy, frantic paces which dominate our lives.

 

In her teaching, Sophie has sought to find ways to bridge that gap between “what I can do now” and “what I want to achieve”. Whether that is getting out of bed pain free, or achieving high level aerial skills.

 

Aerial Pilates is a wonderful way of making the aerial arts accessible to all, and supporting the body to safely strengthen, mobilise, and achieve those goals, which Sophie is passionate in sharing with Every Body
