What is Yin Yoga – Yin Yoga is a relaxing style of yoga that is based on the 5 Chinese elements- Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire. The poses are floor based and held for anything from 2-6 minutes and the aim is to target the tissues and ligaments of the body. Working through fascia we tap into the energy system. Expect deep awareness through guided mindfulness and pranayama , explanation soothing words and poetry. Always bring props to your mat for this style of yoga. The outcome a feeling of lightness and openness as well as a great nights sleep.
